Overview
What it does
The DOCX skill covers both directions. New documents are built with the docx npm library, and the instructions list the formatting traps that break or quietly spoil the output. Existing documents are unpacked to their XML, edited in place and packed again, so styles and layout survive.
It handles the parts of Word that simple converters lose: tracked changes (including accepting them with a script), comments, headings, page numbers and tables of contents. A bundled LibreOffice wrapper converts .doc to .docx and renders PDFs so the output can be checked visually.

- Node.js with the `docx` package, pandoc, LibreOffice and Poppler.
- About sixty files, mostly Office XML schemas used to validate the output.
- Proprietary licence: use it through Claude or the official plugin only.
